Olay Total Effects 7 In One Anti Ageing Serum Review Price

There are always products in our skincare stash which are a staple. Which we have been repurchasing your years. Which we always keep reaching back for. But we don’t always talk about them. Not consciously at least. One such product is the Olay Total Effects 7 In One Anti Ageing Serum for me. I don’t know how many bottles of it I have gone through with in the past 4-5 years. But it is always there in my stash. I first tried it about 5 years or so back, on the recommendation of a friend for the pigmentation I had on my nose and cheeks. I used to live and work in Chennai then.

Olay Total Effects 7 In One Anti Ageing Serum Review Price

The weather there is mostly hot and humid, and me being the sweaty me, anything cream based would melt off, of my skin the minute I stepped out. So that was one of the main attractions for me to try this product then. Coz, then serum-based moisturisers were new to the market. And I used to avoid moisturizing for the fear and frustration of having it melt off, of me. I guess that’s why I started getting pigmentation then and the sunscreens weren’t helping as they tended to melt off too. Lotus came with the gel based sunscreen then, but you needed a moisturiser underneath, otherwise it used to make my skin dry.

I bought this serum without much expectation. I certainly did not expect it to work on my pigmentations. But, surprise surprise! Six years down the line, it’s still going strong for me.

Packaging

The product comes in a white plastic bottle with a pump to dispense the product, hence the packaging is hygienic and hassle free. You can open and close the pump by rotating it clockwise and anti-clockwise. Hence it’s quite travel friendly and easy to carry. I like the simple packaging of it.

Texture & Fragrance

The serum has a smooth, thin and runny texture. Its consistency is quite lightweight. It is has a serum like feel, hence it’s colourless. It has a beautiful fragrance and I love the fragrance. Though it lasts only for a few minutes once you apply. It sinks into the skin completely.

My Experience

I apply the Olay Total effects serums mostly in the summers, after cleansing my face. As soon as I apply Olay Total Effects 7 In One Anti Ageing Serum my skin feels smoother and my pores look blurred. It sinks into my skin and gets absorbed. It gives a very smooth and even base for the make up to go on. It has the right amount of hydration required for my skin without making it sweat excessively in summers. In winters however I feel I need a bit more hydration than this one gives, so I skip it in the winters.

Over regular use, I have seen my skin clearings, the pigmentations on my cheeks lightening and my pores getting smaller. And one biggest is that it doesn’t clog my pores. I feel the texture of my skin becomes better with regular use and also brings a glow to my face. I can’t say much about how it would work on wrinkles, coz I don’t have them on my face yet. But it does blur the fine lines to a large extent. It doesn’t make me sweat on my face if I go out in hot and humid weather which is the biggest with me. And it does keep me hydrated throughout the day.

But, very dry skinned beauties might need a bit more hydration than this one can give or they may need to top it with a moisturiser.

Olay Total Effects 7 In One Anti-Ageing Serum (Price 799 for 50 ml)

Overall Thoughts

A product I recommend everyone to try at least once. Especially if you have oily skin or the tendency to sweat like me. Very dry skinned beauties can skip it or use another moisturiser on top. Overall I would definitely recommend Olay Total Effects 7 In One Anti Ageing Serum as I have been repurchasing it for years. The con? The price, nothing else.

    hello,
which one is best for acne prone/sensitive/currently dry skin – Olay White Radiance Range or Olay total effect 7in 1 range. I am looking for serum, day and night cream.
Dryness is due to application of tea tree products.
