I love blushes and have quite a few of them in my stash. When I cam across this new brand their blush Duos got my attention. Nicka K Duo Blush has two different shades of powder blushes in one palette and priced quite affordably as well. I quite likes the idea of having two different color of blushes in one palette. I have used it couple of times already and thought of sharing my views
Perfectly complementary duos of blush, contour, and highlight that are designed to amplify any look! These complexion powders are intensely pigmented, and blend beautifully over skin – for cheeks that pop with an airbrushed finish. Available in universal shades that are versatile enough for any skin tone.
Packaging is simple black plastic palette with two square pans. The pans holds two different colors of powder blushes. The clear lid helps you identify the shades and use if you have more than one. It is quite light weight.
Shades – The Nicka K Duo Blush is numbered not named. Mine is NDO02. It has one rust orange color and one bright red-pink blush on the other pan. Both the shades are quite suitable for medium to deeper complexions. I like how these don’t come across as vivid as they look in the pan. You can use them individually or mix them together to get a pretty warm toned pink.
Texture & Formula – The blushes are matte and don’t have shimmers. I like how the texture is blendable and non-powdery. However these aren’t the smoothest or finely milled powders in the market, if you haven’t powdered your face after foundation / BB cream application then blending these would come as a challenge. Though with few light strokes the color blends into the skin nicely and gives the illusion of naturally flushed cheeks.
Pigmentation – The blushes are quite bright and decently pigmented. I prefer bright colors with sheer formula so that one doesn’t end up with clown makeup.
Staying Power – 5 hours max.
Nicka K Duo Blush priced at Rs 450 available at Amazon & Nykaa
If you are on budget and looking for decent quality blush then do give these a try. The matte formula and blendable texture make Nicka K Duo Blush a great product. Also there are 2 more shades available that you can try if this duo seems too bright for you.
