Maybelline Color Show Lipstick is a fashionable intense lipstick, which comes in chic to vivid shades. Maybelline Color Show Lipstick is highly pigmented giving bold lips.
- It stays for up to four to five hours.
- The creamy texture is not heavy on the lips.
- It does not smear or smudge.
- It does not settle in line.
- As its highly moisturised you don’t need to wear a lip balm.
Maybelline Color Show range has over 27 shades that range. Mostly medium to deep shades. Loads of browns, purples, plums, reds and wine shades. Packaging is different from regular Maybelline , a black plastic case with a jelly kind of ring in the middle.
Shades – I have got 7 shades and will be reviewing them in sets (of two). Maybelline Color Show Crushed Candy is a light pink almost baby pink lipstick with a frost finish. Cherry crush on the other hand is a pink based red. I didn’t like Crushed Candy much both due to shade and finish. On the other hand Cherry Crush is a pretty shade with cream finish.Texture & Formula – Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks have nice smooth texture. However finish varies from shade to shade, some are frost, some creamy. Formula is nice and buttery, quite moisturizing. Crushed Candy has a tendency to settle in lip lines, Cherry crush looks and feels good throughout the wear. I blot it using a tissue and that ways it neither slips nor fade quickly. It feels light weight on lips.
Pigmentation – Both the shades of Maybelline Color Show have varied pigmentation. Crushed Candy is quite sheer and needs layering. Cherry Crush provides medium to full coverage.Staying Power – More pigmented shades stay on for a longer time. On me Cherry Crush stays on for 4+ hours, Crushed Candy 3+ hours.
Maybelline Color Show Lipstick offers a lot of colors at an affordable price. You can find a huge variety of colors, I have picked couple of dark shades for the coming season. I liked the cream finish ones more than frost. Only gripe is staying power, though at this price tag I can not really complain.
