Mascara is one makeup product I always have a love hate relationship with. I have short sparse lashes and a good mascara adds volume & length, but at the same time I despise the whole process of putting it on. Thats a personal issue, but otherwise a mascara is a must have in everyone’s makeup kit. Recently I got a chance to try out Lotus Colorkick Length & Curl Mascara Black & Blue. As much as the colourful tube excited me, the blue shade also made me curious.
The packing is quite eye catching with bright yellow and pink tubes. The tubes are quite short and fat.
I don’t know but the wands in both the mascara seems different from each other. The blue mascara has a silicon wand with short bristles, black one has fibre kind of bristles. Both work the same way unfortunately, none of them add length or volume to my lashes , which is sad.
I have short lashes and there aren’t too many of them , so I need a formula that is lengthening as well as volumising, Lotus Colorkick Length & Curl Mascara doesn’t do that. The bristles are small and they do not add length or volume. In fact I can’t see them doing anything for me. Maybe someone with already fuller lashes can use them as a separating formula.
Also when it comes to staying power the formula vanishes! Just like that, I had applied blue one and it was gone by the end of the day which made me wonder.
The formula claims to be preservatives free along with lengthening & curling. I like Lotus as a natural brand and enjoy some of their makeup as well as skincare products.
The price is quite affordable too. Lotus Colorkick Length & Curl Mascara is priced at Rs 325.
The formula didn’t work for me at all. Lotus Colorkick Length & Curl Mascara neither added volume or length to my lashes, they looked the same as they were without mascara.
