Kryolan Satin Powder SP228 Review Swatches Photos Price

Indians love gold and the same love continues with golden eyemakeup as well. Be it any wedding or festival or party, a swipe of golden eyeshadow on the lids just makes the overall look more beautiful. Gold is a such a festive shade and apt for evening parties and when you find an affordable multitasking golden eyeshadow, you cannot resist picking it up. I am reviewing Kryolan Satin Powder SP228 which is he perfect yellow golden pigment that suits Indians especially north Indian brides.

Packaging – Kryolan Satin Powder comes in a round transparent plastic jar with a whole in it so it lets you take out little product and avoid wastage. The packaging is not cheap and it is easy to close and open. I have travelled with it many times and have not faced any issues with it spilling out. The packaging is much better than MAC Pigments packaging.

Pigmentation – Kryolan Satin Powder SP228 is highly pigmented and once swipe is all you need.

Texture & Formula – It has a very smooth, non gritty texture. It applies and blends very fast. I prefer using fingers or a flat eyeshadow brush to press it onto the lids.

The powder is finely milled and hence it blends very easily and does not become patchy or stiff anywhere. You need to take very little amount and figure out how much you actually need as taking too much of the product can create a mess.

I sometimes use it over a golden eyeshadow to increase the staying power of the eyemakeup.

You need not use any glue to apply these as they do not fly away once applied. As they are in powder form, there will be fall out so you need to do your eyemakeup first, clean up the mess and then do the face.

Staying Power – Satin Powder SP228 stays put for 6+ hours on my eyes. I also like to use it as highlighter on warm skin and it looks very pretty because of the yellow tone in it.

Kryolan Satin Powder SP228 is priced at Rs. 300

Overall Thoughts:

Kryolan Satin Powder SP228 is a lovely yellow golden eyeshadow, I find it not really suitable for deep skin as it looks too bright. It is apt for fair-medium skin as it compliments them better. I am more into subtle, warm golden eyeshadows. I would have loved it if they had made a universal golden shade similar to MAC amberlights eyeshadow.

Rating: 4.8/5

Pigments looks bright and I would rather prefer a deep version of this golden shade 🙂
