You all know how much I love wearing lipsticks and I keep reaching out for the new ones every now and then. I keep looking out for new launches from different brands and try them out. So, I was again tempted to buy some more lipsticks and was looking for a different brand to try. I came across these Disguise Cosmetics Ultra Comfortable Satin Matte Lipsticks and decided to pick a few shades from the range. They looked so appealing and I can’t wait to share my thoughts on them with you today!
Ultra-comfortable Satin Matte, 100% Vegan Lipsticks by Disguise Cosmetics are a collection of irresistible rich matte shades that fulfill your desire for all moods and occasions. Weekend getaways, night out with the girls, friend’s wedding or a hectic day at work – it’s one for all and all for one. Enriched with organic marula, avocado, argan and jojoba oils, dry and cracked lips are far from imagination.
Additionally, these ultra-comfortable lips are infused with shea butter, so you get the perfect and smoothest finish in one swipe. Together with vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, these are the best lipsticks to experiment with as they are waterproof, long wear and richly pigmented.
Disguise Cosmetics Ultra Comfortable Satin Matte Lipsticks come in a mint green bullet with a magnetic cap with the name of the brand written on it. I’m not much fond of the magnetic closure since the cap tends to open on its own when I carry them in my bag, and it messes up.
The bullets are colour coded and have the number of the shade mentioned on the bottom. However, there is no name of the shade written on the packaging even though each shade has been given a different name. but that is not quite an issue since they are already colour coded and have numbers mentioned.
The lipsticks come in 11 different shades which is good and has a variety of shades from nude, pink, brown, red, orange, coral and a black as well. These are the different shades of the lipsticks:
01 Fuchsia Explorer
02 Red Model
03 Wine Chef
04 Nude Poet
05 Coral Dramatist
06 Pink Trekker
07 Plum Striker
08 Orange Editor
09 Beige Musician
10 Blush Actress
11 Black Slayer
I picked up three shades from this range: 03 Wine Chef, 04 Nude Poet and 06 Pink Trekker.
The lipsticks claim that are satin matte but they look completely matte on my lips. Also, they are highly pigmented and opaque and one swipe is enough to coat my lips. They are not at all drying and are comfortable on my lips. The best thing is that they don’t settle into the contours of my lips as well and last for a really long time!
Here are the swatches of the three shades I picked. From top to bottom:
- 03 Wine Chef
- 04 Nude Poet
- 06 Pink Trekker
03 Wine Chef: I thought it’d be a dark wine colour but when I applied it on my lips for the first time, it turned out to be a beautiful warm toned burgundy colour which is the shade I absolutely love! It has brown and purple undertones and just looks so pretty on my lips! I keep reaching out for it most of the times when I feel like wearing a darker shade. Also, it would suit all skin tones, but would flatter more on medium to deep skin tones.
04 Nude Poet: OMG what a colour this is! It’s the perfect nude for medium to deeper skin tones for everyday wear and it’s just the type of nude I would like to wear on a daily basis. It is a warm nude with a slight hint of brown and red and looks so flattering on me. I believe people of all skin tones will rock this shade and this is a must have shade in your vanity.
06 Pink Trekker: This is a nice warm toned bright pink with red undertones with a slight of fuchsia. It’s a kind of pink that I prefer wearing on occasions. It looks beautiful on my lips and I’m sure it would look great on all skin tones. I like this colour and will wear it occasionally.
I’m quite satisfied with the colours I got since they all look good on me and will suit all skin tones.
Since the Disguise Cosmetics Ultra Comfortable Satin Matte Lipsticks are matte, they lasted on my lips for about 4-5 hours without any consumption of eatables. After that they slowly started to fade away from the centre but the darker shades left a beautiful tint on my lips. The wear time is quite good for a bullet matte lipstick and I’m happy that it is long lasting.
These lipsticks cost ₹500 each for 4.2gm of product which is much on the affordable side. The quantity is good too and I’m sure they would last for a long time.
I am so glad I decided to try these lipsticks out because I’m so happy with how they sit well on my lips without budging or troubling my lips. They do transfer a bit, but so does most of the matte lipsticks so that’s not much of a concern to me. Also, they are non-drying and when I apply a lip balm underneath I don’t even feel like
I’m wearing anything on my lips. Apart from the magnetic packaging I don’t have any other issue with these lipsticks and would totally recommend you to try them out. I will get my hand on other shades as well for sure.
