I happened to stumble across the beauty counter of the brand called Diana of London. I pretty sure many of you have heard of the name before and for some of you it would have been totally new ,as it was for me. I decided to try out their 2000 kisses liquid lipstick range. I was desperately looking out for a nude lipstick which was not just the shade of my skin or made me looked washed out with the skin to skin colour shade issues. And there I found the perfect nude lip shade that I was looking for. Diana of London Hazelnut 2000 Kisses Wonderful Lipstick matched my wheatish skin tone just perfectly and I instantly fell in love.
Packaging : Starting with the packaging, it comes in a simple plastic bottle with twist open cap and a normal doe-foot applicator. The name of the shade is given on the bottom. The name of the product and range is printed attractively on the bottle. You get full description of the ingredients of the product on the bottle and you get 8 ml of product for INR. 625. You can get this online or you can find it in any beauty centre in Mumbai.
Shade : Diana of London Hazelnut 2000 Kisses is a perfect brown based nude. This colour looks really flattering on wheatish and dark skin tones. I personally love the shade as, it is that kind of nude which matches your skin tone in most beautiful way and thus it gives your lips an amazing colour which doesn’t wash you off.
Texture & Formula : This is a matte liquid lipstick. It is still not drying on lips as its formula is very creamy. For people who love to have a matte lip without the feeling of colour getting powdery and too dry on lips, this is just perfect. It gives you a gorgeous colour in one application and it glides on very easily and smoothly. The product takes good 30-40 seconds to set on your lips and get completely matte. The product has a sweet smell that lingers on your lips.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation of product is quite opaque. The colour applies in a good one stroke and is comfortable to layer more than once. After the product sets on the lips, it goes on to become a bit darker, which I absolutely love. You can also check the review of Diana of London Raspberry 2000 Kisses Lipstick
Staying Power : This range claims to be TRANSFER-PROOF and WATER-PROOF. However that point is not completely true. After a good 3-4 hours the lipstick does start to fade off. Frankly Hazelnut 2000 Kisses gets lighter after casual drinks and after a meal. So it is not transfer proof or waterproof.
Diana of London Hazelnut 2000 Kisses Wonderful Lipstick (Rs 625 for 8 ml)
To sum up, I really love the formula of these liquid lipsticks. Diana of London Hazelnut 2000 Kisses Wonderful Lipstick is light weight and comfortable on lips. This particular shade is a must have nude in your collection. It is a perfect “My Lips But better” shade. The one thing that I really like about the formula of this liquid lipstick is that even if you have chapped lips, the product doesn’t get settled in the lines and instead it covers up the chapped lips, which is actually a for me.
The texture is that of a mousse and is very comfortable. The only drawback would be the staying power of this lipstick as I really want the lipstick to be long lasting. But apart from that I would really repurchase it for the colour and formula.
Rating: I would give this Liquid Lipstick range 3.5/5.
