Colourpop has my heart, whether its their matte, matte X, satin or liquid lipsticks, I love everything. I am a lipstick hoarder and have collected a lot of lip products from colourpop. I picked and reviewed Colouropop Ultra Matte Liquid Lip and couple of matte lippie stix couple of weeks ago. This time I picked 5 shades from Matte X range which is supposed to be extreme matte formula. The lippie stix is one of all time favourite product from the brand. I have Colourpop Pillow Talk, Poppin, Cami, Love Life, Chateau to talk about today –
Packaging of Colourpop Matte X Lippie stix is simple. It comes in a white retractable plastic packaging with shade name & matching label on the bottom. I like the light weight tubes that are easy to travel with. I also like how slim the bullet is, you can get a nice neat & precise finish without using a lip liner.
Shades – I have 5 shades –
Pillow Talk – Cool Toned beige Brown
Poppin – Bright Raspberry Pink
Cami – Mauve
Love Life – Bright Red
Chateau – deep dark red
Texture & Formula – I was expecting a drier texture but surprisingly the matte x lippie stix glide on the lips easily without tugging or pulling. Also the formula doesn’t feel as drying as a liquid lipstick, and you can wear it comfortably everyday. I have been wearing Cami for almost 2 months now, every time I go out. The formula is beautiful and completely matte. The formula doesn’t crumble or flake at all. Even after meals the shade stays on.
Pigmentation – All the 5 shades I own are very pigmented.
Staying Power – Amazing ! Another reason to love matte x range. The shades stay on till you remove them with a oil based makeup remover. They last 7-8 hours easily.
Colourpop Pillow Talk, Poppin, Cami, Love Life, Chateau Matte X Lippie Stix are priced at $6 each
I am very very impressed with Colourpop Matte X Lippie Stix. Texture & formula is smooth, comfortable and very long lasting.
