I came across this Colorbar Candy Apple Eye Pigment and it seemed much interesting. I had previously tried NYX Dramatic Chromatic Eyeshadow Pigment and liked it so thought of trying out another one from a different brand.

Packaging: The Colorbar Candy Apple Eye Pigment comes in a colourful cardboard box which is based on the theme of circus. It looks quite attractive. The eye pigment comes in a small frosted glass jar with a black plastic lid. It however becomes messy when I open the lid and the loose pigments fall off everywhere around. Apart from that I am satisfied with the way it performs.
Shade: I picked up the shade Candy Apple from this range and it is a beautiful mixture of rose gold and peach tones. The shimmer particles are extremely fine, and it applies very smoothly on my eyelids. The colour payoff is also good when I apply it with a flat brush. It can also be layered easily to increase the intensity of the colour and doesn’t settle into the lines and wrinkles. The only con I find while applying it is that there is extreme fallout. And since the particles are fine it becomes to remove them when fall on my face.
Finish: The eye pigment gives a very sparkly and shimmery finish in one swipe. But if I layer up the colour, the finish is metallic and look so beautiful that I can wear it alone too. I’m glad that it doesn’t move my concealer as well when I apply it on the lids.
Swatches: This is how the eye pigment looks. The colour is so so pretty! I use it every time I have to attend any parties and weddings and get compliments about my eye makeup.
Quantity and price: The Colorbar Candy Apple Eye Pigment costs ₹350 for 1gm of the product which is decent. The quantity isn’t much, but it would still last for good time.
My overall thoughts:
I like the colour of the eye pigment a lot since it complements my skin tone so well. I use the pigment to create so many different eye looks by mixing and matching it with different colours. I’m happy with the way it performs and keep reaching out for it often when I have to attend functions.
The only thing I dislike it when I open the lid of the jar it becomes quite messy and during the application there is much fallout. But that’s the case with most of the eye pigments. I’m glad I picked up this shade because it totally changes my eye makeup game!
